Haleem is a famous dish in Pakistan. Also eaten in the Indian and Persian subcontinents. It is made of grains, pulses, rice, and meat. It has a thick consistency because every ingredient of it is mashed. It has a blast of flavors.

Haleem is a main course dish but people do eat it for breakfast. It is famous in almost every city in India and Pakistan, among young’s, adults, and aged people.

Cooking haleem for the first time is a challenge as it has a lengthy process. But let me make it easier for you guys، just a few steps and haleem is ready. I’ll share authentic, simple, and tasty recipes with you.

  1. Wheat: 1cup
  2. Barley: 1 cup
  3. Split Bengal gram (daal channa): 3/4 cup
  4. White lentil: 1/2 cup
  5. Red lentil: 1/2 cup
  6. Yellow lentil: 1/2 cup
  7. Rice: 1/4 cup
  8. Water: as required
  9. Boneless chicken: half kg
  10. Oil: 1 cup
  11. Onions: 2 medium size
  12. Black peppercorns: 10 to 12
  13. Bay leaves: 2 to 3
  14. Cinnamon: 2
